Israel’s Ministry of Defence has announced that a massive international logistical effort has delivered more than 120,000 tons of armaments and military equipment to the country since the beginning of the ongoing conflict. This aid has arrived via a combination of 1,000 transport planes and 150 ships.
The milestone was marked earlier today with the landing of the 1,000th transport plane at Ben Gurion Airport, where it was received by Defense Ministry Director General Amir Baram. The vast majority of the military equipment has originated from the United States.
The supplies delivered since the start of the war have included a wide range of critical items, such as armored vehicles, munitions, ammunition, personal protection gear, and medical equipment. This unprecedented supply operation underscores the depth of international support for Israel’s military operations.
The Ministry of Defence stressed that these deliveries are a “critical component” in maintaining the operational capacity of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The equipment is vital for two primary purposes:
Sustaining Current Operations: Ensuring the IDF can continue its operations without interruption.
Emergency Preparedness: Replenishing “full stockpiles for emergencies” and guaranteeing “rapid and precise responses to the needs of combat units in various theaters.”
The complex logistical effort has been a joint undertaking, carried out by the ministry’s Directorate of Production and Procurement, the ministry’s mission to the US, the IDF’s Planning Directorate, and the Israeli Air Force. Would you like to know more details about the specific types of U.S. military aid Israel has received since the start of the war, or information on other countries that have supplied military equipment?
